Harpsichordist, scholar, and educator Ruta Bloomfield (DMA) is the first known performer of the four suites for harpsichord of Bernard de Bury outside of France since the eighteenth century. Using her own edition published by The Edwin Mellen Press, she has produced a recording of this music called Music from Versailles. Her second album features J.S. Bach’s Aria with Thirty Variations (Goldberg Variations). Dr. Bloomfield serves on the faculty of The Master’s University in Santa Clarita, CA.
